Here there is no straddling of borders
with ambiguous gestures
Love is
Saying, “I love you,”
And lacks the contingent of reciprocity.
Love is
Not asking for what can’t be giving
Yet fighting earth and sky
to give more than you have.
It is the unheard whisper
without pomp, circumstance or display
A touch that carries you through the day
The few moments
that can carry you through the week
The balm we all seek.
It endures us
Believes us
It is believing there can be us.
Love is
The knowing
When to fight
or simply let go
because leaving can be loving too.
Love is
Knowing there’s love
at the other side of romance.

That was beautiful…not just b/c of its eloquence, but b/c of its truth. Aww…Lil Wayne must have taught you ‘How to Love’ too.
Couldnt have said it better myself. You sure are gifted and masterful with words. Keep up the good work !
Peace Sis,
The best poetry captures truisms that live in us but remain, somehow, unexpressed. I love this line here: “leaving can be loving too.” More people need to understand this.
